  • ¾ cupbuttermilk
  • 1large jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 cupgrated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheatovento 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet withparchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl,whisktogether flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add buttermilk and stir just until the dough begins to come together.
  5. Fold in chopped jalapeño, garlic powder, and cheddar cheese.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on the prepared sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool slightly on awire rackbefore serving.
