  • 1/2 cupchocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/4 cupchopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat theovento 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  3. In a separate bowl,whisktogether vanilla extract, egg, buttermilk, and vegetable oil.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring just until mixed. Fold in chocolate hazelnut spread and chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Spoonthe batter into the doughnut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow doughnuts to cool, then glaze with chocolate hazelnut spread and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter to ensure the doughnuts remain light and fluffy.
Ensure doughnuts are completely cool before glazing to prevent the spread from melting.
