  • 1 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1 cuplight brown sugar, packed
  • 2large eggs
  • 2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
  • 3 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 48chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat yourovento 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets withparchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until thoroughly blended.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange on the baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove fromovenand immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to awire rackto cool completely.
