Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Equipment: Preheat yourovento 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Combine the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl,whisktogether vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla.
  4. Make the Cake Batter: Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
  5. Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely on awire rack.
  6. Make the Frosting: In a mixer, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream. Fold in crushed Oreos.
